In keeping with the accreditation standards set forth by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, Miami Dade College ensures that all faculty teaching credit classes have the academic preparation and experience necessary to deliver high-quality education. Defined in the MDC credentialing charts, these standards are developed according to the College’s guidelines and are approved by the Academic Leadership Council.
At a minimum, faculty teaching credit courses must:
- Meet the credentialing criteria for their discipline, as outlined in the College’s accreditation charts
- Have completed their degrees and coursework at institutionally accredited institutions
Faculty with degrees from foreign institutions must submit an official evaluation by a certified National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) agency and Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE).
