Professional cybersecurity training for organizations and individuals
Miami Dade College, in partnership with IBM, is launching a new cohort of the IBM Cybersecurity Practitioner course to help students looking to enter or advance within the rapidly growing cybersecurity field. The program will provide students an overview of the knowledge and skills needed to become a cybersecurity professional.
In addition to gaining marketable skills, students who successfully complete the full course will also receive two digital badges, IBM Enterprise Security in Practice and IBM Security Operations Center in Practice.
The course will also combine the best of both worlds by providing students access to the IBM labs as well as the Miami Dade College Cyber Range.
The program is a non-credit program open to students 18 years and above who are interested in cybersecurity. Applicants should have foundational IT knowledge from previous education and/or IT related work experience.
The course is 100% online with a blended instruction format. The content will be delivered via a self-paced online platform together with one weekly virtual meeting with an instructor. The blended approach will provide students with the best of both worlds, flexibility of completing the online tutorials and labs on their own schedule while also having access to an instructor on a weekly basis to help answer any questions they may have.
This course will be offered in Spring 2022 at a very affordable cost. Please add your name to be notified when the class is open for registration.
If you have any questions, please email the Cybersecurity Center of the Americas at Miami Dade College at cybersecuritycenter@mdc.edu.
