Learning Resources at MDC
Nine libraries and a number of statewide resources comprise the Learning Resources at Miami Dade College, providing a stimulating learning environment that enhances the classroom experience through a variety of services such as in-person tutoring, information literacy instruction and informative workshops. Our facilities enable students to study collaboratively as well as individually and provide access to our specialized collections of print and electronic resources.
Whether you are visiting the library, academic lab or computer courtyard, physically or virtually, Learning Resources is here to help you achieve academic success.
Each Miami Dade College campus has its own library designed to meet the academic needs of its students, faculty and staff. Collectively, the nine libraries offer a wide variety of resources including books, e-books, audiovisual materials, magazines and journals. Library and Learning Common facilities are planned with the needs of modern scholars and researchers in mind. Comfortable spaces and furniture invite students to engage in collaborative work in open and private study rooms. Quiet areas are available throughout the entire floor.
College Libraries are also part of the Florida Virtual Campus Library Services (FLVC), a statewide consortium that provides students and staff access to subscription databases with thousands of full-text articles, streaming video, and popular/academic ebook collections. All electronic resources are available anytime, anywhere Internet is available. Librarians are available to assist with research needs and provide guidance on the use of resources.
