Composer, pianist, arranger and record producer, Professor Stephen Quinzi began his musical journey with piano lessons and an insatiable curiosity about all aspects of music. While in high school, he formed his first band, Blessed End, and recorded an album of original music entitled "Movin' On" that went on to become an underground classic.

After four years of playing nightclubs in the Philadelphia area and around the U.S. and Canada, he moved to Miami to study music at the University of Miami where he earned a bachelor's degree in Jazz Piano Performance and a master's degree in Studio Writing and Production. Soon after graduation, he began performing, arranging and directing for various Latin American recording artists; touring internationally as keyboardist with Venezuelan singer Jose Luis Rodriguez, and later as musical director for Puerto Rican pop star Chayanne. 

In 1990 he launched Steve Quinzi Music, a company creating music for radio and TV commercials, film and video productions, special events and multi-media. His diverse list of credits includes numerous jingles and special events scores for companies such as Visa, IBM, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Nestle, the Florida Panthers, ReMax, Ryder, Sandals Resorts, and Burger King, the original score to Cirque Ingenioux, commissions for The Orlando Pops Orchestra and the 101 Strings Orchestra, over 50 compositions on various production music libraries, hundreds of arrangements for specialty recordings, children's music, and arrangements for live shows.

His three commercial releases as a solo artist include "Rhythm of the World", "Vanishing Rainforest", and "The Pond". Two albums featuring his arrangements have reached the top of the Billboard World-Music charts. He published a book on arranging and has written over 30 articles on music technology.

A full-time faculty member at Miami Dade College since 2005, he teaches music and music industry courses, advises students, and develops curriculum – most notably creating a series of popular songwriting courses, and the Audio Technology College Credit Certificate program.
