Initial Accreditation 1981 / Last comprehensive review 2020 / Next comprehensive review 2027

Re-accreditation: May 2020 for period of seven (7) years.

Most recent Accreditation decisions:

• May 2020 re-accreditation. Important factors in the decision were strong faculty leadership with supportive college administration and advisory board, a successful student-centered program, a high-quality learning experience and a commitment to assessment, program planning, development, and quality improvement.
• October 2023 – Accepted application for delivery of the accredited program via distance education. Approval is subject to a Focus Visit.
• October 2024 – program addressed multiple areas identified during 2024 Focus Visit. Application for approval of Distance Education is on hold.
• April 2025 – Probation for violation of Standard 10.7. NBE pass rate and graduation rate less than 60%. Accredited status continues.
• April 2026 – Probation concerns are satisfied. Accreditation status returns to ‘Good Standing’. An updated assessment plan will be presented with the 2026 Annual Report. Plan is to demonstrate evaluation of NBE results and actions to improve results. Application for DE is still ‘on hold’.
